Lucas Tayne is a singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington now based out of Yakima. He spent his formative years playing guitar and drums in local indie rock and punk bands. He put out his debut EP in 2009 featuring the single “Amber Bottles”

After having lived and played around Portland, OR, Boston, MA, and Shanghai Tayne returned home in 2016. Quickly reestablishing himself in the Seattle music scene he recorded his debut album, A Point A Round, with producer and pianist Tim Kennedy.

Praised by Divide and Conquer Music for its “expressive, thoughtful lyrics, unique arrangements and interesting phrasing” the album showcases Tayne’s instinct as a composer and lyricist. Influenced by classic rock and jazz recordings the album was recorded in less than 5 hours with no over overdubs and captures the intimate feel that the songwriter brings to his live performances.

In addition to performing and recording Lucas teaches guitar, piano, ukulele, banjo, and drums to students of all ages and ability levels. Go to “contact'“ to inquire about in person and virtual lessons.
